Pathways High School
The mission of the Maple Valley Pathways High School is, in cooperation with the home and community, to promote lifelong learning.
Believing that all students can learn, we will provide equitable education opportunities, encourage students to reach their potential, and prepare students to be effective, responsible citizens in a changing society.
The emphasis in the Pathways High School is on development and transition of the student from “teen to adult” or to a more “productive adult”. Decision-making, study techniques, behavior management, and personal growth are stressed. Our learning center format allows for individualized instruction and carefully monitored student progress. Teacher and other staff make every possible effort to be sensitive to the personal issues of the students. The staff strives to build a trusting relationship in order to help students toward attaining their educational goals.
Completing your education is one of the best things you can do to improve your future life. The diploma opens up many doors of opportunity that non-graduates will not have. Even if it takes several years to finish your high school education, the time you spend here is well invested. We encourage you to make a personal commitment to see it through to the end.
Picture Retake Day, November 7
Lifetouch will be returning to Maple Valley to do picture re-takes for those who missed the original picture day or for those who would like their picture retaken. The Family Support Center of Barry County is sponsoring a workshop on February 26 at Hastings Baptist Church, 309 E. Woodlawn in Hastings. This event is free! Dinner begins at 5:30 PM with the workshop following from 6:00-7:30 PM. Free childcare is available with registration.
